Golf

Enjoy a round of golf with all your favourite elevator enthusiasts at the Glen Arbour Golf Course – a piece of paradise just outside of Halifax. This championship course has hosted many world class tournaments but is designed for public enjoyable play. Have fun while you try for one of the many prizes available. The tournament will be a scramble with an auto 2-putt to ensure maximum enjoyment.

President’s Reception

A precursor event to the exhibits, come reacquaint with old acquaintances and generate new friends as CECA’s President Phil Staite welcomes you to Canada’s New Scotland. We will enjoy some hors d’oeuvres and refreshments as we kick off the convention at the Rogers Square (in between the Sutton Place Hotel and Halifax Convention Centre). Cheers!

1939 Club

For those whom have youth on their side (aka are between the ages of 19-39) there will be a special meeting during the convention.  Come meet your fellow attendees and discuss the groups mission.

Patio Social (a place for members to gather)

Hob knob with the elevator snobs and have a drink on us.  Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came.  Open Tuesday and Wednesday night with priority access for Full Delegates.

Awards (Kick-off) Breakfast

Join us for a delectable breakfast and enjoy a warm welcome to Halifax! We will be giving out the membership awards at this breakfast so please come and support your award winning industry friends.

Prepare your camera for unique photos of Georges Island, Cable Wharf, the waterfront boardwalk, and the Historic Properties.   This fully narrated amphibious tour shares stories of the Halifax Explosion, Halifax’s connection to the Titanic tragedy, and the rich history of the Canadian Naval dockyards.   Your tour is complemented by a delicious two-course lunch at local favorite, Murphy’s on the Water overlooking Halifax Harbour. Exhibits

Join all our wonderful exhibitors on the show days of Thursday June 15th and Friday June 16th to check out all they have to offer.  Tour all the vendors and participate in the Silent Auction for EESFC.

Nova Scotia Lobster Dinner Kitchen Party

This year we trade in our Gala clothes for a more traditional Nova Scotian Kitchen party.  Gather with your friends and enjoy a delectable Nova Scotian lobster dinner (with beef too) in a more casual setting.  Be sure to tap your feet to the upbeat music and feel free to bring an extra set of spoons to join in! What should I wear you say? We don’t care what you wear – we just want you to show up and have fun!

Halifax Harbour Cruise – Come Cruise the Seas!

Join us as we close out the convention with one last night full of Fun! Walk down to the water, board the boat and cruise the Halifax Harbour with your friends while enjoying delectable food and entertainment!
